MBA Internships — An Opportunity for Growth The Genentech MBA Internship Program is an intensive 10-12 week opportunity that provides work within a fast-paced and challenging environment. MBA interns contribute to meaningful projects, interacting and working side-by-side with biotech industry experts. Our internship program also provides a robust speaker series, which allows interns to hear from top executives throughout the summer. Genentech relies heavily on our internship talent pool for filling our full-time opportunities.
Positions vary year to year, but opportunities may exist in the following areas:

- Intern, Finance Systems
- Intern, Business Development

Position Requirements Responsibilities and requirements for each position will vary depending on function and current level of experience. Applicants must be current students enrolled in an accredited MBA program.
Preferred qualifications include but are not limited to:
- 3-5 years of work experience prior to graduate school in marketing, sales, consulting or finance
- Prior work experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or healthcare industries
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and written skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively with diverse professionals in a team environment
